Air Rhodesia

Founded in 1967– Air Rhodesia was the national airline of Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. Its mainstay aircraft were the Vickers Viscount 700D and the Boeing 720. Three of their Boeing a 720’s came from Eastern Air Lines.  Some destinations besides it’s domestic routes included, South Africa, Malawi and Mozambique. When Rhodesia came under majority rule as Zimbabwe-Rhodesia, Air Rhodesia became “Air Zimbabwe Rhodesia”, then “Air Zimbabwe” in 1980 –
