American Airlines B707 AstroJet to LuxuryJet

American Airlines 707-123 Astrojet first delivered October 1959.  It was a long-range narrow-body airliner, it stood at 42 ft, 5 inches. was 145 feet, 1 inch long with a wing span of 130 feet. The Boeing 720 introduced on November 23, 1959– it was a shorter version, a derivative for shorter flights from shorter runways.

In 1972 the aging Boeing 707 was rebranded as the LuxuryJet to accommodate the new line of Luxury Jets by American Airlines. The new jets were the Boeing 727, 747 and McDonnell Douglas DC-10. All four were introduced as American’s new line of Luxury Jets.
