Britannia Airways was started in 1961as Euravia (London), and became United Kingdom’s largest charter airline. The airline began Charter holiday service with Lockheed Constellations.
The name Britannia Airways was adopted in August 1964 with the acquisition of several Bristol Britannia turboprop airliners. The last Britannia 102 was withdrawn from service in December 1970, and the airline became an all-jet operator. Britannia was rebranded as ThomsonFly in 2005 —
