A brand new Frontier Airlines B737-200 executed an emergency landing 2-hours after taking off from Denver’s Stapleton Airport in 1982. On takeoff the 737 suffered two blown tires on the left rear landing gear. They circled the airport for 2-hours burning fuel before making an attempt at landing. The aircraft suffered minor damage and was shortly back in service
