New York Air was a 1980’s startup airline owned by Texas Air Corporation and based at LaGuardia Airport, Queens, New York City. By the end of 1985, the airline flew to thirteen U.S. states. It ceased operations on February 1, 1987, in a merger with Continental Airlines –
