Pan Am Airbus Fleet
Pan Am acquired its first batch of Airbus A300B4s in 1984. The A300 was a wide-body airliner produced in Europe in the 1970s, and typically seating 247 passengers with a range of 2,900 to 4,050 nmi. Pan Am had a total of 13 Airbus A300B4s
The Airbus A310 joined Pan Am in 1985 with 7 -200 variants and later in 1987 added 14 of the A310-300 variant. The A310 was shorter than the A300 by nearly 23′ ft, but, had a longer range and also introduced the glass cockpit with only 2-crew. After Pan Am ceased, the Airbus fleet mostly went to Delta Air Lines.
